Thirty Paintings in 30 Days

This is a late ‘nod’ to the February/March challenge organized by Leslie Saeta. I don’t usually choose a theme and instead explore a variety of subject matter – this is all about the ‘practice’! I started with a dog painting and thought maybe I might do a few more during the 30 days and I ended up with 30 dogs! (And still going) I am learning every time I paint a pup and it is interesting to look at where I started and where I ended up on Day 30. You can see the individual paintings on the gallery page – Year of the Dog

  1. Hi Janet, Congrats on the 30 in 30! And the fact that you were able to stick with a theme. I love your dog paintings – my fav’s are Cleo, Lou and Wild Thing. Each is full of character, but also whimsical too. I also really like your use of media too. Will look forward to more.

    1. Hi Pat – Thank you very much. Love your fav’s – especially Cleo. If I do one subject again I would paint on the same support – same size. When I put the 8X8″ canvases together they make a nice grouping. Anyhow – appreciate you stopping, taking a look and commenting. Happy painting!
